Hello everyone! hope y’all are doing well.
Today I will share a very favourite recipe of mine. Yeah! It’s the Beecomb! It’s one of my favourite baked items. I’m sure you are going to love it’s taste and texture.
Let’s begin with the Recipe thing.
Things you’d need:
- 3 cups Flour
- A pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Yeast
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence/Powder
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup or 120ml Oil
- 1/3 cup or 80ml Sugar
- Milk ( for dough)
We all have got Food Processors at our homes. And we never knew for there’s no need to buy a kneading machine, when we already have a chopper.
So, add all the dry ingredients in the food processor, and give it a slow stir to mix them well. Now, start the food processor on high speed and add egg, oil and milk. Now it’s up to you to decide the amount of milk by looking at the texture of the dough you want. * It should not be too dry/ hard or too runny select the in between of these two consistencies*
Let the dough rise to it’s double
Give the dough a final kneed with hands. Apply a few drops of oil on your hands to prevent the dough from sticking. Take a bowl that’s large enough, brush it with oil, put the dough in it and cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Now, it’s time to let the dough rest for almost half an hour.
Oven; as a warm place to help the dough rise quickly
You can use this trick of oven. Switch the oven on 100C for 15 minutes and now switch it off. Put the dough in your oven to give it a warm atmosphere for best results.
Making the honeycombs
The best combination with bread is Cream Cheese. I really love the taste of these small balls filled with cream cheese. So, I’m going with that.
Kneed the doubled dough to finish the bubbles inside of it.
Take small piece of balls, and fill these with cream cheese squares. One-by-one put these balls accordingly in the baking tray. When you’re done with making the honeycomb, …
Oven Settings / Baking Time
When you’re done with making honeycomb, switch on the oven on 190 C. Let it rest for 15 mins until then the oven would also get preheated and would be ready for baking.
Brush the honeycomb with beaten egg & bake it on 180 C for 30 mins. Pour Sugar Syrup on it and bake it for another 2 mins on low heat.
♠ serve it with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
